Regular transactions on the Ethereum blockchain just registered a new all-time high in the network’s general level of congestion.
A New Record of Ethereum Clogging
The previous all time record according to Etherscan occurred on Jan. 4 , 2018, hitting around 1,350,000 transactions a day.
On Sept. 17, there were 1,406,000 regular transactions on the Ethereum network, according to data from major Ethereum browser Etherscan. This is the largest amount of individual transactions on the Ethereum network.
This has caused Ethereum gas prices to skyrocket, forcing Uniswap traders to pay upwards of $30 to make sure their trades go through.
